Job Description: We are currently looking to expand our team of experts with an exceptional individual with a passion for developing the Voice Applications. This person will join our team of talented engineers who are passionate about using extraordinary efforts to deliver quality products to our growing list of clients.
As a voice application developer intern, you will be responsible for helping complete tasks assigned by the technical project lead and project manager. You will become responsible for assisting in the development lifecycle of several voice applications currently in development and support those in production. You will be an essential part of our development team here at Chefling.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of JSON
- Familiar with AWS services such as Lambda, and SES and how to read and implement documentation relating to the service
- Strength in reading documentation that is language agnostic (ex. A JSON response that needs to be applied with a language such as node.js)
- Familiar with Voice Design best practices and VUI design
- Have a strong understanding of OOP and be proficient in at least one language
- Knowledge of how to make external API calls asynchronously
- Familiar with some type of version control (git, bitbucket, github)
- Showcase at least one work of software that showcases your abilities to develop code
- Very basic understanding of good code architecture practices
- Familiar with Alexa Skills kit console and Alexa based jargon(ex: Interaction model, Intents, Utterances)
- Somebody who loves to work with other people as a team
- Ability to be technologically adaptive and meet deadlines
Bonus Points for
- Experience with node.js specific development
- Cloudwatch experience
- Developed and deployed an Alexa Skill
- Implemented efficient algorithms to develop scalable code
- Alexa Skills Kit CLI knowledge
- Understands Software modularization and security practices(ex: Not exposing APIs, API secrets kept as environment variables)
